Wilton的蛋糕装饰魔法 The Wilton Decoration Magic That Changes Fondant into Fresh Flowers

5月25日,在这周唯一的晴天里,来自Wilton蛋糕装饰公司的两位培训师Rosalind和Royson,为海上青焙坊的学生展示了一场蛋糕装饰的盛宴。Rosalind和Royson正在环游亚洲,传授蛋糕装饰技术。他们都是智行基金会的长期支持者,故而特别来到海上青焙坊为学员们免费授课。

Wilton是全球闻名的蛋糕装饰供应商及培训学校,在世界设有多所分校,其蛋糕装饰证书亦是全球通用。当为学员们颁发证书时,Rosalind不禁赞叹道:“这些课程通常需要八个周才能上完,每周要上两个小时。而你们一天内就能够完成,实在不可思议!”

亲眼见证这一天神奇的课程就如同梦游仙境一般,雪白的面团在大家的巧手之下转眼就变成了姿态万千的鲜花。课程早晨九点就开始了,Wilton贴心地准备了一整套专业工具。领到工具的学生们都非常兴奋,全都迫不及待地打开包装一窥其中内容。要知道,正是这些工具创造了魔法般的奇迹。

Rosalind教学经验十分丰富,她把一天的课程分成了两部分,第一课只用裱花袋制作各种花朵,第二课则是充分利用模具及翻糖特性,堆叠出鲜花的形状。学生们都相当有天赋,只需要看Rosalind示范一遍,就能马上做得几乎一模一样。随着时间的流逝,桌子上铺满了数不清的各色花朵,马上这些花朵就都将盛开在覆满了雪白翻糖的蛋糕胚之上了。所有的蛋糕坯和翻糖都是青焙坊的肖金金老师前一天赶制而出的,肖老师实在辛苦了!

学生们沉浸在学习中,完全没有意识到已经到了午饭的时间。他们一心练习上午所学内容,直到足够满意,才开始吃饭,吃过中饭,就用马上投入到下午的学习之中。生活老师权力说道,“他们正玩得开心呢。学生们都很爱烘焙的!”这种蛋糕装饰方式对于青焙坊的老师肖金金和王莉来说,也十分新奇,她们也像学生一样,根据指示,不断练习。

一天的课程结束后,展示桌上摆满了各种奇思妙想的学生作品。远远看去,就如一片烂漫的鲜花丛。这些怒放的花朵不正是预示着这些年轻人的光明未来吗?有这么多好心人的支持,又享有如此多的资源,青焙坊的学员们定会肯定地回答道,是的!

On May 25th, the only sunny day of the week, Rosalind and Royson, two pastry trainers from Wilton, brought SYB students a fantastic class on cake decoration. Rosalind and Royson were on a tour all around Asia to share their knowledge on cake decoration. Both of them are long-term strong supporters of Chi Heng Foundation, so it was only natural for them to offer to make a stop in China to teach SYB students!

Wilton is a world famous cake decoration supplier as well as a well-known training school with lots of branches around the globe. The Wilton certificate is internationally recognized. When giving the certificate to SYB students and teachers, Rosalind commented that it was incredible to see the students complete the training within one day while the usual course would take two hours per week for 8 consecutive weeks.

To follow the whole process wass just like a wonderful trip through wonderland to see the white dough evolves into various delicate flowers and finally a basket flourishing with beautiful flowers. The special class began at 9:00 a.m. in the morning. Wilton had prepared a set of professional tools for every student. Excited, students could not wait to open the package. It was through these tools that the magical decoration was made.

Rosalind is a very experienced trainer. She wisely divided the class into two parts, one to make flowers using only piping bags and the other to imitate the shape of flowers with the help of moulds. Students were quite talented. They only needed to watch once how Rosalind made the magic, andthen within a very short time, they would be able to do the same thing. As hours passed, the table was full of numerous colorful flowers. Soon they would all be used to decorate the white cakes on which they had spread the snow-white fondant before. All the cakes and fondant had been made by SYB trainer Xiao Jinjin, who had spent the whole day before in the baking center preparing for that class.

The students were too concentrated to notice that it was already noon. They didn’t come to have lunch until they were satisfied with their work and immediately went on to the next session after lunch. The social educator Quan Li said, “They had a lot of fun during that class. They just loved it!” That style of cake decoration was also a novel experience for the two SYB trainers Xiao (Jinjin) and Wang (Li). They learned and practiced carefully like a fresh student.

At the end of the day, students put their creative works of all kinds on the display table. It looked like a cluster of bright-colored flowers when looking at a distance. Don’t those thriving flowers symbolize the bright future of the young bakers? Supported by so many people and enjoying so many resources, the students would definitely say that the answer is yes!
