July 27th: SYB students visit TibetQiQikindergarten

BWB programs are all set in Bianxiong village, Shigatse. On July 27th, the SYB team visited BWB kindergarten, called “Tibet KiKi kindergarten”. It is a kindergarten for visually challenged kids between 2-5 years old. Just like all the children of their age, most of the kids were outgoing and curious, and quickly became friends with the SYB students!

Zhang Shuai,one of SYB students, said: “They can’t see, but they have beautiful minds, we should face life positively just like they do.”

Kyila, the kindergarten principal, told us that she was among the first group of students in BWB, and decided to keep working in the kindergarten after graduation. Being blind herself, she knows from her own experience how difficult life can be for blind kids if they are not taken care of properly. Running a kindergarten dedicated to visually impaired children was for her a dream that came true, and blind kids now live a happy childhood in KiKi kindergarten.

Kyila said that the most important thing the kids learn there is to be independent, optimistic and to never lose hope. SYB students were deeply impressed by the joy and dynamism of Kyila and the kids!

SYB拜访西藏琪琪幼儿园

2012年7月27日，SYB的同学和老师们参观了位于西藏日喀则边雄乡的西藏琪琪幼儿园，这是一个盲童幼儿园，大多是2-5岁视力缺陷或盲的孩子。孩子们大多性格外向，和正常的同龄孩子一样充满好奇和活泼好动。SYB的学生们都很有亲和力，很快就和孩子们成为了好朋友。我们的学生张帅说：“他们虽然看不见，但是他们的心灵是美好的，我们要乐观面对生活。”

琪琪幼儿园的园长吉拉也是一位盲人，她向我们介绍说，她自己是BWB的第一届学员，毕业后就留在这里工作，作为一个盲人，她深知孩子们的孤独，所以她最大的梦想就是办一所盲童幼儿园。现在梦想实现了，琪琪幼儿园的盲童们在这里有了快乐的童年。她说到，孩子在这里学到的最重要的是独立和乐观，不要失去对生活的希望。SYB的学员们在这里被深深的感动了。
