SYB students volunteer at APM

On Saturday, October 11th, the Young Bakers spent the afternoon at the warehouse of APM (A Pleines Mains), a charity helping the needy, orphans and handicapped people in China through material and financial donations. As APM regularly receives second-hand goods or new items from private or corporate donors and is always looking for volunteers to help out, this was a great opportunity for the SYB students to give back to the community!

After being sorted, the items are either donated to other charities or recycled to help fundraise for other projects. After actively cutting off tags, sorting out children’ clothes, putting down a new carpet for the warehouse, the students were generously awarded to take home a few items of their choice! Moreover, APM team had prepared some blankets for them, as winter is slowly showing up and the nights getting cooler. For the occasion, the students had brought some of the pastries they had baked in class, to share with the other volunteers and welcome the customers!

海上青焙坊的学生为APM活动提供动志愿服务

10月11日，周六，海上青焙坊在APM过了一个下午。作为一个慈善机构，APM通过提供物质或经济援助，来帮助孤儿、残障人士以及其他需要帮助的群体。APM会定期收到人们捐助的二手物品，或是由私人或企业捐助的全新的物件，这对于海上青焙坊的学生们而言是一个回报社会的绝佳机遇！

经过整理后，物品会被捐赠到其他的机构，或是经过回收再利用，用以帮助其他的项目。在积极的帮助拆除标签，整理孩子们的衣物，为仓库铺上全新的地毯，我们的学生也受到奖励——他们被允许挑选一些物品并且带回家！不仅如此，由于冬季的脚步慢慢逼近，夜晚渐渐转凉，APM团队甚至还为他们贴心地准备了一些棉花毯。而我们的学生们也带来了他们在烘焙课上制作的西点，来招待其他的志愿者与客人。
