On July 18th, the graduation ceremony of the 8th batch of the Shanghai Young Bakers was held at Naked Hub on West Nanjing Road. Thanks to the support of the Shanghai Young Bakers’ charity programme, 29 students, hailing from all over China, not only learned the trade of authentic French bakery and pastry, but have also embarked on their own life journeys as independent young adults and bakers.
7月18日, 海上青焙坊法国面包师第八期学员毕业典礼在南京西路裸心社举行。来自全国各省市贫困山区的29名学员在青焙坊公益慈善基金的帮助下,不仅学到正宗地道的法式餐点秘诀,而且学成之后,又能开辟一条自立自强的创业谋生之路。
The ceremony was attended by Hélène Hovasse, Director of the Department for Agricultural Equipment for the French Consulate in Shanghai and the Director of the Department of Trade, Food, Beverage for Business France, and Yan Zhijun, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Charity Education and Training Center. They took great pleasure in handing out the students’ diplomas. Moreover, the students performed on stage for all of the guests, putting the good use the English that they had learned in class. Soon, the entire room was swimming in an ocean of love and happiness!
晚会上,法国驻沪农业参赞海伦和法国商务参赞都亲临现场,和上海市慈善教育培训中心副主任严治俊一起为学生颁发毕业证书。29名学生更用流利的英语为到场嘉宾表演节目,现场顿时成为充满爱的欢乐的海洋!
It must be noted that Cecile Cavoizy and Emilie Rigaud, the directors of the Shanghai Young Bakers, have both lived in China for over a decade. Their sincerity and commitment to helping others are reflected in their angelic smiles and hearts.
