Public class for Ubifrance’s team-building

On January 18th, we were honoured to provide a public bakery class for the 26 teammates of Ubifrance, the French Consulate’s division responsible for helping French companies in their international development.

Ubifrance chose Shanghai Young Bakers to organize their annual teambuilding event. Instead of engaging in a classic end-of-year dinner, the whole Ubifrance staff gathered at the SYB baking centre to make brioche, countrybread, and gingerbread together under the SYB teachers’ instructions.

Through the presentation before the class, the participants got to know our charity program more comprehensively, and to understand the social impact of their participation. But the word that was most used to describe the event was “fun”! Participants particularly appreciated the way that the teachers managed to strike a balance between their professional demonstrations and their clear explanations for beginners.

Ubifrance, and especially its head of Agro-Business, Mrs Helene Hovasse, has been helping Shanghai Young Bakers since the very beginning of the program by providing advice and introducing supporters and partners to the team.

在一月十八日,我们很荣幸能够为法国驻华使领馆商务处(Ubifrance)的26位职员提供集体的烘焙课程。Ubifrance 是 主要负责帮助法国企业在海外发展的法国领事馆分支机构。

Ubifrance摒弃传统的公司年会,而选择通过海上青焙坊(SYB)来组织他们一年一度的职员团队建设活动。当天,所有的法国驻华使领馆商务处职员相聚在SYB烘焙中心并且在SYB老师的指导下学习布里奥,乡村面包以及姜饼的制作工艺。

通过课前的介绍,参与者对于我们的慈善项目有了更加全面的了解,同时也对他们参与项目的社会意义有了一定的理解。但是,最能够恰当总结这次活动的词莫过于“有趣味”!参与者尤其能够感受到老师以他独特的方式试图达到既能够专业的演示又能够让初学者清楚地理解整个制作过程。

Ubifrance,尤其其农业食品部参赞杨海伦(Helene Hovasse)女士 ,自海上青焙坊建立之初就一直在为我们提供建议,并且为我们的团队介绍支持者和合作伙伴,给予了我们相当大的帮助。
