On the road to graduation: the Young Bakers visit Brioche Dorée
On July 6th, the countdown to the Young Bakers’ graduation had started and all of them had only one question in mind: where should I choose to work once I graduate? The bakery industry is so diverse, from traditional bakeries to supermarkets to luxury hotels, and all of them are looking for qualified staff!
To help them in that important decision, we organized a series of visits to important stakeholders of the bakery industry. On that day it was the turn of Brioche Dorée, a leading chain of French bakeries with over 500 restaurants all over the world!
Laurence Ledoux, Operations Manager Asia, and bakery chef Fabrice Pons welcomed the students at their shop on Yanping road. The students split into groups: while some of them were looking at the products sold in the restaurant, others were discovering the kitchen and learning more about Chef Pons rich experience as a bakery and pastry chef.
All the Young Bakers truly enjoyed the visit, and were impressed by the wide variety of products sold, from baguette to lemon pie and pizzas! Of course they were very pleased to realize that, after one year of intensive study at SYB, they too were able to bake all these products! As said one of them, “I truly enjoy these bakery visits: every store has a really unique concept and it’s all the more interesting to discover as many of us hope to open our own shop in the future!”

毕业季将至:年轻烘焙师们参观Brioche Dorée
在7月6日,随着海上青培坊毕业的临近,所有的学员们都思考着一个问题,毕业后我会在哪里工作? 烘培业的选择如此多样,从传统的面包房到超市,再到高端的酒店,都需求着优秀的人才。
为了帮助学员们作出这个重要的决定,我们组织了一些列前往烘培业“巨头”的参观,在这一天,目的地是Brioche Dorée ,法式烘培的领先者,全球有超过五百家连锁店。
亚洲执行经理,Laurence Ledou和首席烘焙师Fabrice Pons在延平路上的面包店欢迎了学员。之后学员们分成两组参观,一些在欣赏着店中出售的成品,另一些则来到厨房发掘和学习Pons先生多年来丰富的烘培经验。
所有的学员们都十分享受这次行程,并对面包店中产品之丰富感到惊讶,从法式长棍到柠檬派到匹萨无所不有。当然,学员们也意识到,在SYB一年的学习并不足以让他们掌握所有的技艺,未来的路还长。 就像一位学院所说的:每家店都有自己独特的概念,而发现和学习它则是最有趣的事,我们都希望在未来能拥有自己的面包店。
