Chiheng Foundation visits SYB baking center
智行基金会员工参观海上青焙坊烘焙中心
On March, 7th, the employees from Chiheng Foundation, umbrella organization of SYB, had the opportunity to visit the baking center and exchange with the SYB students about their experience at SYB. Read the testimony of Raymond, employee of Chiheng Foundation, below:
3月7日，海上青焙坊行政隶属机构智行基金会的员工参观了SYB的烘焙中心，并和学生们就他们在海上青焙坊的学习生活进行了交流，以下为智行基金会员工臧东参观SYB的体验：
I am very honored that for our annual meeting in Shanghai we had the opportunity to visit SYB baking center and experience SYB environment in person. Even though SYB is situated in the international metropolis called Shanghai, its location is not bustling with activity and midst all the noise it remains calm. The serene school building is a bucolic refuge in the midst of a great bustling city, adding mystery and making people yearn for more. Before coming close, the smell of freshly baked bread already assails your nose, it is easy to imagine that immersing yourself daily in the sweet fragrances of milk and honey is a real pleasure. In my heart there is an unparalleled admiration for the children studying here, and a lot of my colleagues feel the same.
很荣幸，趁此次上海召开年会的契机，能有机会亲自参观并体验SYB海上青焙坊。SYB位置并不繁华，虽然处在国际大都市上海。闹中取静。静谧的教学楼更像是一个世外桃源，更加神秘，令人向往。虽未近身，面香已然扑鼻，可以想象每天沐浴在奶香、芝士甜甜的香氛中，是何等的惬意。内心里开始无比羡慕在这里学习的孩子们了，很多同事也跟我有同样的感受。
I would like to thank Cecile and Emilie for receiving us warmly and organizing this very interesting “close contact” event. Seeing with our own eyes the children who are selected by the Chiheng Foundation to study at SYB, is truly an unforgettable experience which makes us feel even more cordial towards each other. In order to make better use of this great platform SYB and in order to better serve the children of impoverished families in the future, we bravely ask ourselves a series of questions. From life to study, from encountering setbacks to sharing happiness, step by step SYB provides an unforgettable journey to the lives of these children. I sincerely want to thank SYB: the two beautiful French girls who invest their time and energy in this endeavor and Social Educator Zhu who takes care of the children! By having you, these children’s lives will be wonderful.
感谢凤姐Cecile和Emilie的热情接待和组织本次非常有意义的“亲密接触”活动。最让我难忘的是亲眼见到了智行基金会选拔到SYB学习的孩子们，倍感亲切。为了更好的利用SYB这个伟大的平台，为了今后更好的服务这些贫困家庭的孩子，我们都争前恐后的问了一大串的问题，从生活到学习，从遭遇的挫折到分享的喜悦，点点滴滴都是SYB带给孩子们的人生难忘旅程。真诚的感谢SYB，感谢两位美丽的法国美女为SYB事业的付出，还有生活老师朱老师对孩子们的照顾！有了你们，孩子们的人生会更加精彩。
Furthermore, when it is the first time in your life baking a pizza under guidance of a teacher, you will suddenly come to realize: how could making a pizza ever be so easy? Hah! You will even have the urge to go back home and immediately buy an electric oven! Making culinary food can actually be compared to planning one’s life, effort and motivation do not go unrewarded. We don’t have a single reason not to continue striving forwards every day!
还有就是，人生第一次亲手做披萨，在老师的指点下，恍然大悟，做披萨这样的料理居然如此的简单？顿时有个冲动，回家就买一个电烤箱，嘿嘿！ 其实，做美食，就好比规划人生，你的用心和努力，都会有回报。我们还有什么理由不继续前行！
When we finally had to leave we were reluctant to part. In that short time we, the employees of the Chiheng Foundation and those Young Bakers really got to know each other very well. In tightly knitted groups we discussed about their ambitions and their lives. After concluding our visit, we had the most sincerest of feelings and wished that more and more ambitious children can arrive at SYB to study, then the SYB of tomorrow will be even better than before.
临走的时候，都有点恋恋不舍了，孩子们也都在短短的时间内，和我们智行的员工混熟了并三五成群的促膝交谈，谈理想，谈人生……参观完后，内心深处最真实的感受和祝愿：愿越来越多的有理想的孩子能来到SYB学习，SYB的明天会更好~
