A Sweet Fukubukuro from Shanghai Young Bakers

来自海上青焙坊的甜蜜“福袋”

After the Lantern Festival, all celebrations of the Chinese New Year are winding down. Can’t have enough of the festivity? Don’t worry. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and all kinds of sweetness will continue without stop. How can Shanghai Young Bakers miss this special moment? We have prepared a special “fukubukuro” for you and your special someone. 

过了正月十五，农历新年的各种庆祝活动也就将告一段落。怎么，过节还没过够？别急，情人节就要接踵而至，各种甜蜜还将自动延续，没有句点。海上青焙坊也要来凑热闹，把祝福和甜蜜装进特殊的“福袋”，送给你和你的 ta。

Every week our students learn to bake various kinds of bread and pastry in our baking center, getting ready for their future work in five-star hotels or bakery boutiques. The flour, butter, milk, and yeast that our students use are all imported from France, thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors. High-quality ingredients from their origin country are the step one to guarantee an authentic French taste. And what is step two? 

每个星期我们的学员都要练习烘焙各种法式面包或者甜点，为今后踏入星级酒店或精品面包房的工作做准备。这些面包和甜点都是采用法国进口的面粉、黄油、牛奶、酵母，由我们的赞助商赞助提供。优质原产的原材料是保证纯正法式口味的第一步，那第二步又是什么呢？

Well, this step two is, of course, the recipes. All our teachers are former graduates of the program and have been further professionally trained spending 9 months in EFBPA (Ecole française de boulangerie et pâtisserie d’Aurillac) in France. Teaching the most authentic traditional French recipes in class, they instill in the students a passion for baking and the essence of French bakery and pastry. 

这关键的第二步自然就是配方了。我们的老师都是海上青焙坊公益培训项目的毕业生，在上海经过了一年的培训以后，又被选派到位于法国中部 Aurillac 的法国面包和甜点学校(Ecole française de boulangerie et pâtisserie d’Aurillac)进行了为期9个月的专业深造。他们把正宗的法国传统配方带回中国，把法式烘焙的精髓带入课堂，言传身教，潜移默化影响着一批一批接受法式烘焙启蒙培训的学员。

With high-quality ingredients and authentic recipes ready, there is only one element missing in order to make the most delicious bread and cakes – love. All our students are from poverty-stricken families. Some of them had to drop school while others had to work in factories at a young age far away from their hometown. Now that they have had this precious opportunity to learn French bakery in Shanghai, free of charge, with a great prospect of having decent jobs after graduation and redesigning their lives, our students are full of gratefulness. This appreciation is not only deeply felt in their hearts but also mixed in every bread and dessert they bake.

有了原产材料和正宗配方，要想烘焙出一流的面包和甜点，还缺一样东西，那就是–爱。我们的学员都来自贫困家庭，他们有的被迫早早辍学，有的不得不踏上艰难的打工之路，年纪轻轻却都已尝过生活的艰辛。能够有这样一个宝贵的机会，来到上海，接受免费的烘焙培训，毕业后可以从事体面的工作，重新规划自己的人生，学生们的心中充满感激。这种感激流淌在学生心里，也自然融进了他们烘烤的面包和蛋糕里。

Here comes the good news: our students’ products can now be purchased at our Wechat shop, delivered to your address every Thursday. Taking into consideration of different demands, there are two sizes for you to choose from: a smaller box of 10 portions and a larger box of 20 portions. Just like a Fukubukuro, our boxes will surely bring a surprise to you: we can’t tell you what bread or pastry items are exactly packed in your box; what we can tell you is that each box is full of freshly baked, arduously decorated, and absolutely delicious French bread or desserts.

好消息来了：现在学员的烘焙成品都可以在海上青焙坊的微店里买到，每星期四发货。考虑到大家的需要数量不同，微店里可以买到10人份和20人份的两种规格。就像日益流行的“福袋”一样，海上青焙坊的面包或是蛋糕礼盒也要带给你一份惊喜：我们不能告诉你你收到的盒子里具体是哪些产品；我们可以告诉你的是，你收到的一定是学员们用心烘焙、爱意满满的一篮甜蜜。
