Ingersoll Rand is among the companies that consider it their responsibility giving time and financial support to the communities in which they work. True to this commitment, Ingersoll Rand (IR) is one of the main supporters of Chiheng Foundation, the organization that governs Shanghai Young Bakers.

英格索兰是一家乐于奉献时间与金钱来回报这个社会，并且将其视作己任的企业。因此，英格索兰成为了海上青焙坊的主管机构——智行基金会的主要赞助商之一，并且很好的履行了这一承诺。

In order to thank them for their generous donation and to enable IR employees to better understand the organization that they support, SYB had prepared a very special team-building baking class on October 25th.

为了对他们的慷慨解囊表示感谢，同时帮助英格索兰的雇员更好的了解他们赞助的机构，海上青焙坊在10月25日准备了一场非常特殊的团建烘焙课程。

On that day, 18 IR employees came to the baking center, where they were greeted by not one, but 10 teachers! 10 very unusual teachers, as all of them were SYB graduates or current students. For our most significant supporters, we indeed offer the unique opportunity to learn how to bake with the Young Bakers! All the IR volunteers were really excited to have that chance to do such a meaningful exchange with them, and see first-hand how their company’s CSR strategy has changed their lives!

当天，18名英格索兰的员工来到了烘焙中心，并且受到了不止1名，而是10名教师的热情问候。这10名非常特别的老师均来自海上青焙坊，是我们的往届毕业生及现任学员。作为我们最重要的支持者，我们向他们提供了一个独一无二的机会——与海上青焙坊的学生们共同学习烘焙。来自英格索兰的志愿者们非常兴奋能够有机会与他们分享，同时亲眼见证公司的CSR战略改变了他们的人生！

The class started by a comprehensive presentation of the SYB program, which was followed by many questions from the volunteers, who were in particular eager to know more about the student’s background. The IR volunteers and SYB students and graduates then introduced each other. This was a very simple but moving moment as one of the volunteers realized that she came from the same town in Henan as some of the Young Bakers! She said, crying “I had read in the newspapers about the terrible situation in which some of the people in my hometown were living, in particular due to disease. I had always hoped that I could do something, and I’m so glad that today I can finally contribute!”

整堂课伴随着对海上青焙坊的项目综述开始了，接着志愿者们提出了很多问题，同时他们也想更多的了解到学生们的背景。英格索兰的志愿者们和海上青焙坊的毕业生以及学生们互相进行了自我介绍。这是一个简短并令人动容的时刻，志愿者中的一员发现她与海上青焙坊的一名学生来自河南的同一个镇，她哽咽着说“我曾经在报纸中了解到，我的同乡们因为疾病而遭受磨难、处境艰难。我总是希望我能够为他们做些什么，很荣幸今天自己终于能够有所奉献！”

The baking class started by the pizza recipe. The volunteers were split in groups of 2, and each group was paired with a Young Baker. Everyone had a lot of fun kneading the dough and choosing the toppings they liked. While the pizza was baking, they started preparing the dough for “sablé”, a French style biscuit that was the second recipe of the day!

烘焙课程随着披萨制作而开始了。志愿者们被分成了两两一组，每组都配备了一名海上青焙坊的学生。每个人都快乐的揉面、并且为自己的披萨添上自己喜欢的配料。当披萨在烤箱中慢慢烘焙，他们开始准备一种法式饼干“sable”的面团，这是他们当天将学做的第二道西点。

Then came the much expected lunch break, where everyone enjoyed the pizzas they had baked, followed by a delicious desert baked by SYB pastry chef.

随后，是大家期待已经的午休时间，这时每一个人都能津津有味的享用自己亲手烘焙的披萨，以及一道由海上青焙坊西点主厨准备的美味甜点。

In the afternoon the roles were switched as the IR volunteers taught a fun and interactive English lesson, designed by Stepping Stones’ teachers! Thanks to their patient teachers, the students were able to learn the English version of the pizza recipe they had been teaching that day.

在下午，双方的角色对换——英格索兰的志愿者教授了一场由铺路石的老师设计的充满趣味与互动的英语课程！感谢这些耐心的老师们，学生们能够有机会学习到他们今天教授的披萨的英文版菜单。

The event ended with the participants baking and decorating their biscuits. Everyone went back home with their home-baked “sablés”, many happy memories and most importantly the amazing feeling to have positively impacted the life of marginalized Chinese youth.

这一活动最终伴随着所有参与者烘焙并装饰他们的饼干而落下了帷幕。每个人带着他们自己制作的“sable”回家了，伴随他们的还有许多快乐的回忆，同时最重要的是他们能够对于中国弱势青年的人生产生积极的影响的这份感受。

As said Ivy, the event coordinator of Ingersoll Rand: “Our people enjoyed this event very much and believe it is far beyond a CSR event itself, but something that is going to change the entire life of the children. Thank you very much for SYB’s great preparation and efforts to make this happen!”
