The Young Bakers on a journey of coffee discovery
果卡咖啡为海上青焙坊学生带来一场咖啡发现之旅
The Goroka Coffee Company opened its doors to the Young Bakers for an afternoon of discovery.
On Monday June 20th, the Young Bakers had the chance to discover what coffee is through a training held by Clare Lin, the manager of Goroka coffee company.
果卡咖啡公司向海上青培坊的学员生们敞开了大门,邀请他们一起探索果卡咖啡。
在六月二十日,星期一,海上青培坊的学生在果卡咖啡经理林聪先生的带领下,对咖啡有了更近一步的了解。
Clare is a real passionate; he shared his knowledge with the students through theoretical and practical presentations: they learned where coffee comes from, what are the different places it grows around the world, the processes to extract it from the coffee trees and the different ways to make coffee, from using a syphon to a simple filter. After teaching the basics, Clare demonstrated how to make different types of coffee, which appear on almost any menu: espresso, Americano, cappuccino, latte, etc. The students learnt that the taste, the making process, the ingredients are all different and so are the overall aspect and texture!
林聪先生是个非常有激情的人,他用理论知识及实际操作向学生们分享了他的知识。在他的介绍下,学生们了解了咖啡的起源,咖啡在世界的分布情况,咖啡豆的提取过程以及如何使用虹吸壶和简单的过滤器来制作不同的咖啡。在教授了基础知识后,林聪先生给学生们演示了如何制作几种最常见的咖啡,包括浓咖啡,美式咖啡,卡布奇诺,拿铁等等。学员们了解了不同的咖啡不仅味道不同,原料不同,制作过程不同,甚至外观及质地也大有不同。
Clare then explained in details the importance of the bean selection and the Young Bakers got the opportunity to smell and identify very different kinds of coffee beans. Preparing a good coffee is not that easy, it is an art!
The Young Bakers have learnt a lot from this passionate barista and this training will definitely be an added value for their future career.
接着林聪先生更详细的解释了选择咖啡豆的重要性,学生们还有机会通过闻咖啡豆的方法来分辨不同的咖啡豆种类,这也告诉了他们准备一杯好咖啡的过程并不是一件容易的事,相反,这更像一门艺术。
海上青培坊的学生们从这位热情的咖啡师身上学到了不少知识,这次培训的价值一定会在他们未来的工作中体现出来。
