King’s Cake is a popular dessert item which is served just after the Christmas season. It is a puff pastry pie filled with frangipane, a combination of crispy crust and rich filling. A ‘fève’ (plastic trinket) is baked inside the cake and the cake is shared around the table. Whoever receives the fève is then crowned king or queen for the day!

Participating in the class will also directly support SYB’s charity program. The profits from public classes and all other SYB commercial activities help fund one year of training in professional French bakery for disadvantaged Chinese youth.
