你能想象一个人在几个小时内做出上百个面包吗?这不是痴人说梦,而是5月19日在海上青焙坊烘焙中心真实发生的事情。当然,这是在站立式搅拌机和专业烤炉以及20位青焙坊的帮助下实现的。不过,所有的揉面、制作、造型都是由一个人独立完成的!他就是Pascal Tepper,来自法国的烘焙大师以及MOF金牌得主。对我来说,这是一场十分难忘的经历,因为青焙坊邀请我前往拍照,故而有幸见证。这实际是Pascal Tpper为学员们上的一节课。你们肯定在想,这些学员太幸运了吧!
若不是亲眼所见,我绝对不会相信,两种面团就能蜕变为数十个美丽可口的面包。尽管都称作法式传统面包或布里奥,可不论形状还是口味都各不相同。原谅我无法叫出这些美丽面包的名字,不过也许你能通过图片认出他们来:)当面包们一起摆在陈列台上,真的愈发相得益彰。若是放在面包柜里,透过玻璃观赏,岂不美得无法描述了?看起来大师轻而易举就完成了所有作品,但我清楚,这肯定离不开背后付出的辛勤努力。我一度幻想,我也可以成为学员中的一员。但我更愿意许下心愿,祝他们将来也能为我们带来如此美丽又美味的面包。我坚信,只要他们足够努力,又有这许多人的帮助,他们定会做到的!

Can you imagine one person making hundreds of bread in just a few hours? This is not wishful thinking – this was in fact what happened on Sunday 19th May at the baking center of Shanghai Young Bakers. Of course it was done with the help of stand mixers and industrial baking ovens, and with the assistance of around twenty SYB students. However, all the shaping and after-mixed dough processing of the bread were done by one person – Pascal Tepper, master baker of France and gold medal winner of MOF. It was such a remarkable experience for me to be there and to take pictures of the event during the whole process. This was in fact a class given by Pascal Tepper to all the young bakers – I know what you are thinking: how lucky they are!
I would never have imagined, had I not seen with my own eyes, that two types of dough can be transformed into a dozen of beautiful and delicious bread. Even though they are either baguette or brioche, their shapes and flavors are so different. Forgive me for not knowing the names of all the delicate beauties – maybe you could tell me what they are through the pictures above 😉 They pleasantly complement each other when put on a display table – can you imagine how gorgeous they’d look seen through a bakery’s window? It looked as if all the work was done with ease and speed, but I am sure the training and experience behind must be tremendous. For a while I wish I was one of the young bakers in the classroom. A more realistic hope of mine though, is that someday the young bakers will be able to make such beautiful and delicious bread for us. And I have no doubt, with their efforts and the help from the people supporting them, they will.
