Shanghai Young Bakers “Bake it happen in Tibet” press conference

On September 23, 2012, Shanghai Young Bakers (SYB) hold a press conference, “Bake it happen in Tibet”, at Huaqiao Foundation’s office. The goal of the event was to share with the media as well as SYB students and volunteers our whole partnership with Braille Without Borders (BWB). After having welcomed a sighted staff from BWB for one year, SYB team went to Tibet, from July 22 to August 4, to help BWB expand their baking school for the blind. The three teachers and eight students that took part in the trip shared their experience and commented pictures. The highlight of the event was the video about SYB trip to Tibet, made by SYB communication manager Wang Yue. (http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/KwFwCWh5MfM/) Later on, in order to thank our sponsors for this trip, we gave presents to Huaqiao Foundation and Shanghai Business International Traveler agency.

SYB 5th year students also attended the event, and one could see that they were deeply touched and impressed by SYB-BWB story. SYB partner Grand Mercure, sponsor PSA and some Medias also came to support us. The speakers’ enthusiasm, emotion and admiration about BWB spread to the audience, and it was a moving afternoon for all! Thank you to everyone that joined us!

海上青焙坊“西藏之行”新闻发布会

2012年9月23日，海上青焙坊在华桥基金会的办公室召开了“西藏之行”新闻发布会，这次发布会向大家介绍了在教授一名西藏盲文无国界组织非盲员工一年后，2012年7月22日-8月4日，海上青焙坊师生一行前往西藏帮助西藏盲文无国界组织扩建盲人烘焙学校的活动。所有参加这次西藏之行的三名老师、八名学生都来到了现场，和大家分享了在西藏的所见所闻！在这次发布会上，我们还放映了由媒介经理王悦制作的海上青焙坊西藏之行记录视频（http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/KwFwCWh5MfM/）。之后，我们还给此次西藏之行的赞助商华桥基金会和上海商务国际旅行社赠送了礼物，感谢他们对我们这次活动的支持！

当天到场的还有第五批的学生，海上青焙坊的赞助商标致雪铁龙集团的代表，合作伙伴上海虹桥美爵酒店。另外还有一些媒体界的朋友来到现场对我们表示支持，演讲者们热情而感人的分享让大家深深动容！
