The Young Bakers’ first steps as trainees! 青焙师们初步体验实习生活

Mid-October is always a key-moment for the Young Bakers as they get to make their first steps into a completely new environment: the kitchen of a 5-star hotel!

十月中旬十分关键,青焙坊学员们要面对全新的工作环境,在五星级酒店厨房的展开实习工作。

After spending around a month and a half training with the SYB teachers, you could feel the anxiety as the internship starting date was approaching: “Will I be able to meet the expectations of my Chef ? What if I am too slow ? What if I make mistakes?” The SYB teachers took the time to answer each of their questions and give them advice to better solve the problems they might face, being once interns themselves.

跟随海上青焙坊的老师们学习了一个半月,学员们面对即将到来的实习还有些惴惴不安——“我的表现能达到主厨的预期吗?我动作会不会太迟缓?我要是犯错了怎么办?”对此,经历过同样时期的老师们耐心解答了学员们的困惑,并对可能出现的情况给出了优化解决方案。

Being in such a demanding environment can be very challenging for a Young Baker, especially as each of them is coming from an underprivileged background and have to deal with issues such as lack of self-confidence. However at SYB we truly believe in the potential of each of our students and once again it was quite amazing seeing the first group coming back to school with higher expectations for themselves and an even stronger will to improve! And this is in great part thanks to the trust of our 10 partner hotels and the patience of their Chefs. Thus I would like to thank each of them for their support and for joining us to give the Young Bakers a new chance in life!

酒店厨房的工作强度大,要求高,对青焙师们而言有所挑战,尤其是他们大多来自贫困家庭,需要应对缺乏自信等境况。但海上青焙坊充分相信我们每一位学员的发展潜力。让人惊喜的是,第一组学员从实习单位回到学校后对自己提出了更高的要求,拥有更强烈的进步愿望。能有这样的机缘,不可不感谢十家合作酒店对我们的信任,以及主厨们的耐心。因此我想要感谢每一家酒店的支持,感谢他们加入我们,为青焙坊学员们未来生活带来新的希望!
