Start of a baker: 6TH batch of students had their first class in SYB baking center

On Monday August 26th, the 6th batch of SYB students had their first class given by our three trainers in SYB baking center.

Class began with the taste of breads and pastries made by three trainers. For most of the students, it was the first time for them to have these French-traditional baguettes, country bread, éclair and Macarons. With smiles on students’ faces, we could see that they all enjoyed the pastries.

The goal of this first day of class was to introduce them to the baking center and to bread in general students were shown around the baking center by Xiao Jinjin, one of SYB trainers. She introduced all the equipment in the baking center including the blender machine, the ovens, the refrigerators, etc. Also, she taught students how to use the ovens by telling them the function of every button. Zhou H., one of the 6th batch of students, tried to operate it by herself. In the afternoon, trainer Zhang taught the students about baking hygiene standards and food safety. Although this was all very serious, during the lunch break, there were some students selected to sing songs and tell jokes!

The first class was the start of this semester. We wish all the students good luck in their studies and hope that they will work hard!

烘焙师起航:第六届新生首次于烘焙中心上课

8月26日,周一,海上青焙坊的第六届新生在烘焙中心接受了三位烘焙师的第一次授课。

课程伊始,学生们品尝了由三位老师制作的面包和西点。对于大多数的学生来说,这是他们第一次吃到传统的法棍、乡村面包、拇指泡芙和马卡龙。看着他们脸上洋溢的笑容,可以猜想他们都非常享受这一过程。

第一天的教学目标是让学生对烘焙中心和面包有初步的认识。在肖金金的带领下,学生们参观了烘焙中心。肖金金向学生们介绍了烘焙中心里的设备,包裹搅拌机、烤箱、冰箱等。同时,她通过讲授烤箱每个按钮的作用,告诉学生们如何使用烤箱。第六届新生之一小周,还尝试自己操作了烤箱。下午,张老师讲授了烘焙的卫生标准和食品安全。尽管这些教学内容都非常严肃,在午休时间,学生们还是表演了唱歌和讲笑话。

第一堂烘焙课意味着学期的开始。我们祝愿所有的学生好运,也希望他们能够努力学习。
