Autumn comes and leaves briskly. The end of autumn is coming in two weeks, and many of us are not ready to embrace the chilling winter. Catch the tail of this breezy season and bake with us the seasonal Mont-Blanc, a classic French chestnut dessert!
The crunchy tart crust is filled with almond cream, topped with freshly whipped cream and luscious chestnut cream vermicelli. The seasonal chestnut aroma still lingers on your tongue after the last bite. I know you are salivating just imagining the flavor, so stop imagining and join us at the baking center on Saturday October 24th to get that last autumn taste!
Want to learn other types of classic French pastry? We will also hold a Macarons Class on Sunday November 8th! The crispy meringues pair so well with exquisite fillings of different flavors. Under the guidance of our professional pastry trainer Adèle, you will learn how to create these perfect delicacies. Join our Macaron class, show off to, and share with your family and friend!
It doesn’t feel right without some Halloween celebration in Autumn, right? Don’t worry! SYB prepared a special “Trick or Bread” class for Halloween on October 25th for you to unleash yourcreativity! You will learn to make pumpkin-shaped bread and draw some spooky decorations on your own bread, just like baking an edible jack-o-lantern.
These seasonal pumpkin breads are fluffy and full of autumnal flavor. Make them at home right before Halloween and get ready to decorate your home with some delicious “jack-o-bread”!
Our French pastry and bakery trainers, Wang Jingyi and Liu Dong, will be guiding you throughout the classes with their professional knowledge in baking. They were both SYB alumni and were trained at the famous Ecole Française de Boulangerie et Pâtisserie d’Aurillac (EFBPA), one of the best French bakery schools in France.
Joining our public classes is also a great opportunity to meet new friends in the SYB community and to exchange your passion for baking! Moreover, you would be directly supporting our charity program, in which SYB provides disadvantaged youth (aged 17-23) from different parts of China one-year free training in French bakery and pastry, enabling them to find qualified jobs and lead independent lives.
