Global Flavor – Our Weekend Markets
Over the past two months, the 10th class of Shanghai Young Bakers has been immersed in intensive training in French bakery. At the same time, our social enterprise has been going full-out participating in markets, both big and small, throughout the city. At these markets, we hope to allow more people to taste our students’ products and learn about the Shanghai Young Bakers training program.
Our student-made breads and pastries are displayed and sold at various happenings and markets around the city. For example, culinary events like the Wine&Dine Festival, and public markets such as the Commune Market, the Jiashan Market, and the See Market.
Many of these markets have a strong international flavor. Vendors from around the globe set up stalls to display and sell gourmet delicacies, handicrafts, and cute gifts. The dazzling array of food, fun, goods, and entertainment draws in a cosmopolitan mix of Chinese and international visitors, all having a good time buying, conversing, and getting along like old friends after a long separation!
These events are great for the young ones. Children just love our DIY activities!
And you can enjoy folk music and interesting performers from around the world!
What could be a better way to relax and take some time out from our fast-paced city lives than to meander around the markets, enjoy delicious treats, admire lovely handicrafts, and dive into a few DIY activities?
If you missed our September and early October markets, don’t despair, there will be many more exciting markets for you to enjoy over the next few months. To learn more, please follow us on WeChat!
