Fun Baking Among Girlfriends 学法式烘焙,享闺蜜之情

SYB has already hosted many baking classes but the one held on Thursday, 13th March will certainly be remembered for long, given the enthusiasm and motivation to acquire new baking skills among all the participants. This time we welcomed 10 female participants, all belonging to the French community of Shanghai, who were looking to improve their baking skills while contributing to a greater cause.

After a brief introduction of SYB program given by Floriane, SYB program manager, the participants immersed themselves into a 5-hours long baking adventure. The challenge of that day: Brioche and Country Bread with raisins!

With aprons and baker’s hat on, everyone was ready to bake! Although preparing the dough through kneading and flipping takes a lot of time and force, it did not seem to bother our participants as they were entertaining themselves with laughs and jokes during the whole class! One would not imagine how much joy a baking class could bring! At times, they were not sure about the next steps but with the guidance of our experienced teachers, Xiao Jinjin and Wang Li, nothing could go wrong.

During the lunch break, the participants sat down for a meal featuring SYB freshly baked bread and homemade quiches as well as a delicious chocolate mousse to satisfy those more gourmands.

In the end, everyone got rewards for their excellent performance during class in form of their self-made brioches and country breads! “Next time we’re sending our husbands!” – said one of the participants, as she was convinced that her spouse would enjoy this activity as much as she did.

海上青焙坊目前已经成功开设过多次对外烘焙课程,而3月13日的这堂课却因为参与者们的高涨的热情而更值得被纪念。这次来参加我们烘焙课程的是10位来自旅居上海的法国女士,她们都希望能够在学到烘焙技能的同时为公益事业献出一份力量。

项目主管林兰女士首先向她们简单介绍了海上青焙坊。在之后的5个小时里,所有的参与者都沉浸在这段奇妙的烘焙之旅中。她们当日的挑战就是动手制作乡村面包和布里奥!

穿上围裙,带上帽子,所有人都跃跃欲试。尽管捏合翻打面团需要花费很多力气和时间,但是欢声笑语却贯穿着整堂课,学员们全都乐在其中。很难想象原来一节烘焙课也能带来如此多的乐趣。尽管学员们都对烘焙面包并不在行,但是在肖金金老师和王莉老师的带领下,课程轻松而又顺利。

在午休期间,学员们享用了海上青焙坊的特色午餐:新鲜出炉的面包,手工制作的乳蛋饼和美味的巧克力慕斯蛋糕。

最后,所有参与者的劳动都得到了回报,那就是她们自己动手做成的布里奥和乡村面包!“下次一定要把我的爱人也带上!”一位女士说道说道,她相信她的爱人也会和她一样享受这个美妙的过程。
