Being part of a global movement: Shanghai Young Bakers at the Social Enterprise World Forum in Hong Kong, Sept 2016
成为全球运动的一份子:海上青焙坊出席2016年世界社会企业论坛
On 25-27 September 2016, I was honoured to be invited to take part in the Social Enterprise World Forum, to represent Shanghai Young Bakers.
9月25日至9月27日期间,我有幸代表海上青焙坊受邀出席2016年世界社会企业论坛(世界社企论坛)。
An annual international event for social enterprises all over the world to come together and discuss policy and practice, to learn from one another and to network, this year’s edition was held in Hong Kong, and saw more than 500 participants and 100 speakers.
这是一个国际年度项目,来自世界各地的社会聚集在一起,讨论政策与实践,并互相学习然后建立起信息社交今年的世界社企论坛在香港举行,有超出500名的参与者和100名的演说家参加该论坛。
I had the opportunity to share Shanghai Young Bakers’ story as part of the workshop on Engaging and Developing Talents of Young People in Social Enterprises, and to compare our actions with other social enterprises from various countries, who also strive to make a social impact through sustainable business models. Despite the differences in our structures, nationality, target population and day-to-day work, we were struck by how similar our challenges and hopes were, and how much we could learn from each other.
在此次论坛上,我有幸能够在社会企业-推动及开发年轻人才的研讨会上分享海上青焙坊的故事, 并与来自多个不同国家的社会企业相比较,并且他们的社会企业也力争通过可持续的商业模式发挥其社会影响。尽管我们结构体系、国际、目标人群和日常工作都不相同,但是都面对着相似的挑战和希望,而且我们能互相学习。
Overall, it was an incredibly humbling and moving event. The drive, experience and vision that participants from all over the world brought to the forum, was a clear source of inspiration and encouragement as we strive to build a global movement that will lead by example.
总的来说,这是一次令人感到谦逊和鼓舞的项目。全世界的社会企业带着他们的驱动力、经验和洞察力来到此次论坛。这是一个十分清晰灵感源泉,并鼓励我们以身作则发起一个全球运动。
Here’s hoping that we will all meet again, bigger and stronger, at next year’s forum in Christchurch, New Zealand on 27-29 September 2017!
