Recently involved in the Shanghai Young Bakers, I had the great opportunity to volunteer during the French school summer fair in Pudong.
On the 23rd of June, Camille, the coordinator of the event welcomed us early morning. The professors’ Max Liu(刘东) and Ines Jin(金会子) were quickly ready and 100% motivated to sale the most delicious products that they have baked with love with their students. All products were perfectly arranged on the table in cute wicker baskets.
For the summer fair, Shanghai Young Bakers offered different French products as delicious croissants, brioches, breads, amazing Canelés and Macarons in order to satisfy everyone from kids to grand-parents. A good way to have an express travel in France by eating pastries!
All the frogs and French culture lovers (nickname for French) were succumbing to temptation of generous croissants, Canelés (best Canelé that I have ate in Shanghai) and so one… Great delights to start their day!
The fair at the Pudong French school was paced by a succession of activities, shows as dance, theaters, games, workshops as photos, face painting and so on… in a great ambiance.
After the rush of the breakfast, we quickly sold out all our beautiful croissants. The other F&B participants at this event were offering dishes from many different regions of the world from France with Crêpes, from Vietnam with Nems, from USA with hotdog. They welcomed everyone for lunchtime. But no one could compete us with delightful, colorful and beautiful deserts. By the end of the day we were victims of our own success as all products were sold.
Thank you very much to Camille and the French School in Pudong, thank you to all Shanghai Young Bakers’ team and their organization.
Everyone especially the kids were so happy to spend a lovely day with their family eating treats all day long!!!
