Haole Consulting Team Building Baking Class: Let’s bake it happen!
On December 1st, Haole Consulting team took part in a social teambuilding baking class at SYB baking center.
Patrick Wu, founder of Haole Consulting – a human resources management company – first heard of Shanghai Young Bakers (SYB) through his alumni network. Impressed by the program, he immediately wanted to help fundraise for SYB and to contribute to its sustainability. Therefore, he decided to participate with his employees in a teambuilding activity organized by SYB in order to strengthen Haole Consulting’s team spirit by learning traditional French bakery recipes while supporting a charity program.
2 French bakery recipes were in the spotlight: Country bread and Brioche. 12 corporate apprentice bakers. 2 SYB teachers. 24 portions of ingredients. Mix it all, and you get 24 bags of baked goods, a real team work, a lot of laughter, great moments of sharing and a day of work not only as a group, but as a team.
At first, everyone was quite shy, following carefully the teachers instructions by mixing the ingredients for the dough. Then as an ice breaker, our teacher asked all participants to knead the dough very hard, even beat and throw it on the table so that to get a better consistence. Flour and dough started flying everywhere, much to everyone’s delight. Some of them were slower bakers, naturally, so the faster ones started to help the others and shared few tips.
In a more relaxed atmosphere, the whole Haole team and SYB staff shared a lunch together, with home-made quiches (French pie), salad and “religieuses” (French puffs) on the menu. Meanwhile, they took the opportunity to ask some baking advice from our teachers as well as some questions on our charity program.
According to their feedbacks, the most important part of the day was that they not only learnt how to bake but also improved their team dynamics. SYB baking classes, “a great way to encourage team members to spend time together!”.

昊乐咨询团建烘焙课程:让我们一起来烘焙!
12月1日,昊乐企业管理咨询有限公司的团队在海上青焙坊的烘焙中心参加了一次团建烘焙课程。
昊乐咨询是一家人力资源管理公司,它的创始人Patrick Wu是通过他的校友第一次了解到海上青焙坊的。吴先生对海上青焙坊项目印象深刻,他希望通过帮助海上青焙坊筹集资金,来支持项目的可持续发展。因此,他决定和他的员工们一起,参加海上青焙坊组织的团建活动,从而在支持慈善事业的同时,也通过学习法式烘焙来加强团队建设。
课程以两种法式烘焙菜谱为重点,分别为乡村面包和布里奥。在两位SYB老师的指导下,12名企业员工共拿到了24份原材料。将它们混合在一起,得到的将是24袋面包,一次真正的团队合作,许多欢声笑语,分享喜悦的瞬间,以及以团队(而不仅仅是小组)为单位的一天的工作。
最初,大家都有些羞涩。老师详细地指导了大家如何将原材料混合,制作面团。接下来是破冰游戏:老师们让每一位参与者自己揉面团,甚至让大家敲打面团或是将面团扔在桌子上,以保证面团有较好的柔韧性。面粉和面团在空气中“弥漫”地到处都是,每个人都非常开心。当然,有些人进入状态比较慢,那些做的快的人就帮助那些做的慢的成员,给他们一些小建议。
在一个轻松地环境下,昊乐团队和海上青焙坊的员工一起享用了午餐。大家一起品尝了法式风味煎饼、沙拉和修女泡芙。与此同时,他们还向老师讨教了烘焙的经验,并借此机会了解了我们项目。
根据他们的反馈,当天最重要的不仅仅是学会了如何烘焙,而且提高了他们团队的活跃性。在昊乐团队看来,海上青焙坊的烘焙课是“鼓励团队成员共度美好时光的绝佳方式。”
