The 12th Batch Students started their journey at SYB
On 25th August, Shanghai Young Bakers (SYB) welcomed its 12th batch students, who come from total eight provinces: Henan, Gansu, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Yunnan, Shandong, Guangdong and Sichuan. These 32 students have now officially started their one-year French bakery training at SYB.
After the welcoming lunch, the inauguration ceremony was commenced in one classroom at Shanghai Caoyang Vocational School. The SYB Team conducted a full introduction of its programme, and students learned more about not only the origin and history of SYB but also SYB value, namely, Solidarity, Responsibility, Consideration and Empowerment.
Later, an interesting icebreaking game led students to be no longer strangers to each other and warmed up the atmosphere. Full of funny moments and with laughers, our students finished their first SYB group bonding activity.
As a tradition of SYB, all students pictured their dreams: some wish to run a small bakery; some wish for a stable life; and some others wish to give back to those people have helped them… Every simple and innocent dream reflects their excitement and expectation for the future.
At the end of the ceremony, the 12th batch students had a group photo together. And let’s anticipate a marvellous chapter in the coming year at SYB from these youngsters with their dream to become bakery masters. SYB, go go go!
